Isha Gramotsavam

Well, we’ve finally finished our Isha Gramotsavam 2007 retrospective… We’ve given a brief update of the days events, overhauled our photo gallery, posted many news clips and topped it all off with Sadhguru’s Mahasathsang as MP3 podcast files.

Of course, you can still watch all the days events (or much of it) in the video archive page, and see what everyone else in the blogging world had to say about the event.

Isha Gramotsavam

Isha Gramotsavam is a rural festival organized by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev inspired Isha Foundation every year as part of their Rural Rejuvenation program. This year, Chennai played host to the big event on Sunday, September 23rd. I was lucky to be there and experience this unique event….

So, that wraps it up for Gramotsavam 2007…

Ok, so we’re handing out the Trophies to all the finals winners for the competitions of Gramotsavam…

In an upset throwball tournament, it seems the reigning champions from Gobi were dethroned this year by the Coimbatore district ladies of Devarayapuram. Congradulations ladies on all your hard efforts!

Finals Mens Volleyball went to Cuddalore District Mens team of Sankarikuppam.

So there you have it, another amazing year of Rural Olympics, here at Gramotsavam 2007.

Stay tuned for the Sadhguru’s Mahasathsang to be followed by the inauguration of Project GreenHands launch, and a rousing performance by Sounds of Isha…

We just got the word… Today’s Mens finals competition will be with Kappalankarai versus Sankarikuppam.
